Consultation on a proposed reduction of the published admission number (PAN) for St Nicolas’ C of E Infant School, Surrey and other proposed changes to the school’s Admission Policy, with effect from September 2020.
The Governing Body of St Nicolas' C of E Infant School have decided to consult on a proposal to reduce the Published Admission Number (PAN) and other proposed changes to the Admission Policy, with effect from September 2020. From September 2020, the school wishes to reduce the PAN from 40 to 30. If the PAN were to be reduced, this would result in 3 classes of up to 30 pupils (one reception class, one Year 1 class and one Year 2 class) rather than the split year group classes the school runs with a PAN of 40. This would result in improved learning and teaching experiences, and more effective and sustainable financial planning.
The changes to the Admission Policy is to simplify and clarify the criteria ensuring fair opportunity for children to join the school.
The consultation period opens on Monday 3rd December 2018 and closes on Monday 21st January 2019.

September 2018 Reception Places.
Due to a reduction in the number of families needing reception places in South Guildford, Surrey County Council have agreed to cap our reception intake at 30 places rather than the usual 40. This will mean all 30 Reception children in September 2018 will be taught in one class (Beech) rather than 30 in Beech and 10 in a mixed year group class (Chestnut)
