Outdoor Learning

“Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them.” Psalm 111:2

We love the outdoors and make the most of every inch of our outdoor space. We have a garden with a 'Grotto' to shelter in if it rains, a large Reception outdoor area, a Forest School Area, playground and field. All of these spaces are used to enhance and enrich our provision and give children opportunities they would not experience in the classroom. Often, we see children using what they have learnt elsewhere and applying it in new contexts outside, developing their own understanding and embeddng their learning as well as delighting in new discoveries.

We have enhanced our outdoor spaces by investing in developing the Reception outdoor space, creating a wildlife hedge, planting trees, establishing a wildflower meadow and making a small Memory Garden.
