ParentView

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to tell you about an online questionnaire called Parent View which you can use to give us your views about our school.

To complete the short questionnaire at https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk (or follow the link below), you simply need an email address and a password to register. Once your login has been activated, it only takes a few minutes to choose answers to 12 short questions about the school, such as how well we manage children’s behaviour, the quality of teaching, whether the level of homework given to your child is appropriate, and whether you would recommend the school to other parents.

St Nics’ is not yet due its next inspection but we are being encouraged to make parents aware of the Parent View website ahead of time. As and when an inspection takes place, inspectors consider the information from Parent View alongside other evidence when making a judgement about the school. In the meantime, the overview of results which the school can access is useful because it gives us valuable information about what you think of the school and this helps us to improve. You can give your opinion of the school through Parent View at any time during the school year, and at the time of an inspection, you can refresh or resubmit your views and the facility will overwrite your previous response so that only one ‘view’ for each parent, per school, is held.

Please use the links below for additional information on Parent View and, of course, if you have any further questions, please do come and ask.

Parent View will not replace our annual questionnaire which will come to you as usual (our own questionnaire is more detailed and allows you to give us more specific views and ideas than Parent View).

Many thanks,

Emma Smart
