Admissions Consultation for 2027-28

St Nicolas’ CofE Infant School is consulting on proposed changes to our Admissions Policy for entry in September 2027. As part of this process, we are sharing the draft Admissions Policy for 2027–28 and a summary document highlighting the key changes compared to the current 2026–27 policy.

We invite you to review these documents and share your views. Your feedback is important and will help ensure our admissions arrangements remain fair, transparent, and in the best interests of our school community.

The consultation will close on Saturday 31 January 2026. Please submit your response using the online Consultation Feedback Form. Alternatively, you may reply to the school office or email Alison Morgan, Clerk to the Governors, at amorgan@enlightenlt.education

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Elaine Joyce and David Sharpin

Co-Chairs of Governors

In-Year Admissions

If you are looking for a place at St Nicolas' outside the annual admissions round you will need to apply through Surrey County Council.  Full details of the in year process and the necessary forms can be found here.

Applications are processed as quickly as possible by the local authority, usually within 15 working days of receiving your fully completed application form.

However, applications received towards the end of the summer term or during the summer holidays may not receive an outcome until the start of the autumn term, due to the unavailability of schools during the summer break and the reforming of waiting lists.

If you receive more than one offer of a place

If you have applied to more than one school, your child may receive more than one offer of a place.

Surrey County Council monitor multiple offers to ensure that no parent holds on to more than one school place for any longer than it reasonably takes to make a decision.

If you are not offered a place at your preferred school

Surrey County Council have a duty to ensure that there is a school place available for every child in Surrey who wants one. As such, if your child lives in Surrey and is not already in school and if it is not possible to offer you a place at any of the schools that you have applied for, Surrey County Council will identify an alternative school place for your child which will normally be the nearest suitable available school with a vacancy.
