We have a partner school in Northern Uganda that we work closely with and fund raise for. The Forgotten People's Project has built 2 schools in Uganda: Putuke Nursery and Paibwor Nursery. We have close links with the CEO, Alex Latim, who is a regular visitor at our school, sharing news, photos and products made at the school. The parents from the schools made face masks recently for the children to sell at St Nics' in order to fund for malaria medicine. Our School Council run enterprise projects throughout the year that have raised funds for a school roof and a cow so the children can have their daily porridge. We have donated chairs and tables for the Ugandan children, as well as spare uniform and toys. It is an invaluable link where our children can learn about diversity around the world and a great opportunity to put our school values into action.
