Safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
and expect all staff, volunteers and other members of the school community
to share this commitment.
This means that we have a Safeguarding Policy and procedures in place. All adults using our school site (including supply staff, volunteers and governors) must ensure that they are aware of these procedures and wil be asked to sign that they have read and understood our safeguarding information (see PDF below). Parents and carers can find the policy on the school website or are welcome to request a paper copy from the office.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is:
Christina Witkowski
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are:
Dina Pandis and
Lucie Perry
Contact our DSLs by email using
DSL@st-nicolas.surrey.sch.uk
If you are concerned about the welfare of a child at this school, please record your concern, and any observations or conversation heard, and report to the DSL as soon as possible the same day. Do NOT conduct your own investigation.
If your concerns relate to the actions or behaviour of a member of staff (which could suggest that s/he is unsuitable to work with children) then you should report this to the Headteacher (or the Chair of Governors if the concern relates to the Headteacher), who will consider what action to take.
The Designated Safeguarding Governor (and Chair of Governors) is Elaine Joyce (joyce@st-nicolas.surrey.sch.uk)
Our Safeguarding policy can be found by clicking on the link below. In addition our Curriculum pages include E-Safety information for our children.
